The U.S. Normal Providers Administration for fiscal 12 months 2023 elevated its commonplace allowable per diem charges for federal vacationers by $2 to $157, GSA introduced Wednesday.
The rise is because of a $2 year-over-year improve within the lodging allowance to $98. The usual allowable price for meals and incidentals held regular at $59 per day.
The per diem is the utmost allowance that federal staff are reimbursed for bills incurred whereas touring in U.S. areas not designated as “non-standard areas,” which have per diems greater than the usual price. In fiscal 2023, there will probably be 316 such non-standard areas, and every could have a lodging price at or above 2022 ranges.
